Lost

I am a long way from home.
Daily, I wander this path
searching not just for the trail
that leads home
but for bits that reminds me
of who I am.
For I am lost
and I don’t quite remember
Who this person is

There are needs I must see to;
Demands laid upon me.
As I strive to meet them,
the much I do leaves me empty
and with a deep sense of loathe.
So when my heart asks
this question that plaques my mind,
daily
The voice I hear belongs to another

Hence I write,
I scribe these words on
every surface I find;
Weave it in every word I speak,
Look! It is choreographed in my steps
And tatooted in my looks:
Will you help me, I am lost.
Help me find my way, home
