A Boy

I met a boy:
He was the kin
my soul searched for

I met a boy:
His beauty ignited my heart
And his words befriended my mind

I met a boy:
We were joined by words
He beaconed to my heart and
I was the warmth his soul craved.

I met a boy:
He was temptation
and rest,
companion and foe.

I met a boy:
He wove smiles
as patterns unto my face
And dispelled sadness with his wand.

I met a boy:
He lives in my dreams:
Too perfect for this world
And we know it.
